A treat for you all today- My first alter!
My friend Chris asked for an alter of a Dueling Grounds for his EDH deck because he hated the art on the original card. I thought it sounded like a riot, especially after he told me he wanted a Pokemon dueling ground, with a Pikachu fighting a Bulbasaur, in a one-on-one battle. I couldn’t say no, and we traded sketches and ideas before we decided on this design, the middle of the fight in the stadium, with Chris in the background cheering on the pair!
I don’t think Chris plays anymore, and he gave us the deck this card was for. :’( Always sad to lose a player… Makes this one a little bitter-sweet.
It’s a little heavy on the paint side, but for a first alter it isn’t bad work (in my opinion), and it’s definitely still my favorite one yet. I hope you guys like it as much as I do!
From one of our own! Enjoy! =D
Love, Kristina

Funny Chimney Imp Discussion Comments on Gatherer
- To impfinity and beyond!
- I used to think Mirrodin block was a bit overpowered.
Now, I think it’s the strongest block ever created. - Once I had a dream where I had a foil Chimney Imp. It was beautiful.
- I once dropped Chimney Imp at a blackjack table in Vegas. The dealer just bowed his head and scooped
- For you crybabies whining about the casting cost, you’re completely forgetting that you get to untap those five lands on your VERY NEXT TURN with no drawback whatsoever.
Also, it absolutely obliterates your opponent’s pace if it dies - but good luck trying to kill it, because it’s immune todeathmark.
If that isnt enough, it has rampage: 0, so you can attack every turn without fear. Chimney Imp LIVES SIDEWAYS. - Isn’t this the card that Richard Garfield used to propose to his wife? EPIC
- I once pulled this card out to an officer, instead of my license. He immediately apologized for pulling me over, and let me go.
- My Drug Dealer Never Heard Of Magic But When I Asked Him If I Could Pay Him In Chimney Imps He Handed Me All The Crack He Had In A Heartbeat
- While most people focus on the stats, few actually appreciate the card for what it is; a work of art. You can actually hear the haunting laughter of the imp in your mind. You can feel the smooth skin of the imp. You can taste the papery wings. But the smell is the most horrible. The odor had me not sleeping for 4 years. That’s a long time to go without sleeping.
- Well, you can always wipe your ass with it if you are out of toilet paper.

Nothing quickens the predator’s blood like the unfamiliar scents of new hunting grounds and the mewling cries of new prey.
